Local UK Superhero Tradesman Gives Garden Makeover For Free To Family With Seriously Ill Child.

Online web service, MyBuilder enables charity to find a superhero local tradesman willing to help family in need free of charge for an amazing garden makeover surprise.

LONDON, ENGLAND, August 10, 2011 /Web PR News/ -- Cancer charity Shona's Smile Foundation set out to prove that some things in life are free, and online service MyBuilder enabled them to make it happen. Thanks to the service paring job-posters with rated local tradesmen, they found Kevin Martin of Yorkshire based Dream-Landscapes. Kevin volunteered his time to do a surprise garden overhaul for a Sheffield family in need. The work took place while a single mum of three was in America with her 3 year old son who was being treated for Rhabdomyosarcoma, a rare form of cancer. The project was coordinated by the child's Uncle, who collaborated with the miracle workers at Shona's Smile Foundation, a small children's cancer charity. They found Kevin by posting the job on the online service MyBuilder.com to see if any landscape gardeners in Sheffield would be willing to do some work for free. They'd previously posted an ad in the local paper but received zero responses. Thanks to the wide reach of MyBuilder, and the fact that all jobs are posted for free, it enabled the charity to get the result they needed. The garden was not in a fit state for her three young children to play, so kevin installed new turf, decked the area, fixed the fence, and graveled the adventure playground.

When mum arrived home a few weeks later, she was shocked to find a complete garden makeover, along with brand new playground and bundles of toys - all thanks to Shona's Smile and Kevin for turning their garden into a haven.
